Final Artefact

The video was made in a way such that there was a clear conversation ongoing between Human and Ai with the 2 videos representing them. When placed in a physical space, the viewer is then forced to be in the conversation. Because the topic of the conversation is on love, the use of the visuals and the captions helps the audience to understand Human and Ai's individual interpretation of love.

Proposed Installation

We propose our artefact to be a video installation, with two screens talking to each other in an enclosed space. This emphasizes the dichotomy between two strong forces, AI and Human. The way the installation is set up, is up close to the viewer and so near each other, allowing the viewer to fully immerse themselves into the conversations of the two screens. The space could also have a bench, allowing people to feel relaxed and enjoy the artwork.

Final Video

Even though our artefact is 3 separate digital videos, we know we did not have time to show all 3 during the presentation, so we decided to compile the videos into one. Then, each conversation edited louder one by one so our audience could listen and focus on all the snippets of the conversations one by one.

We did not mute the rest, because we wanted them to experience the soft sounds of the other conversation happening, as if they were in the exhibition space, moving between 2 screens to the next two. We think the soft sounds of conversations at the back adds more experience, added with the instrumental music.
